French Toast is a perfect Sunday breakfast! It is sweet and filling, plus you can top it with anything you like, fruits, sirup or chocolate. Or be piggy like me and choose all three!
For about 4-6 toasts you need:
- 1 cup plant milk (I used rice milk with calcium)
- 2TB flour
- 1TB nutritional yeast
- 1ts sweetener of your choice (I used agave nectar)
- 1ts vanilla extract
- 1ts cinnamon
- 1/2ts salt
- pinch nutmeg
- slices bread of your choice (I used glutenfree grain toast)
- 1 banana
- any sirup, fruits and chocolate flakes (I used agave nectar, dark chocolate and 1 plump)
Mix all ingredients for the batter (except the sirup, fruits and chocolate flakes) in a deep bowl or plate, squash the banana into little chunks. Dip your bread slices one after one for about 1 minute. Now fry in a lightly greased pan on medium heat for about 4-6 minutes, until the start to get brown on each side.
Top with sirup, chocolate flakes and fruits before serving.
Now, how easy was that?!
One portion of 5 slices without the toppings has about the following nutritional values: 553kcal, 96g carbohydrates, 33g sugar, 15g protein, 11g fat, 3g fiber and 40% of the daily recommended dose of calcium.
❤
Das klingt wirklich unglaublich! French Toast habe ich ja schon ewig nicht mehr gegessen. Wir sagen dazu immer „Arme Ritter“.
