Creamy Cashew Pesto

How to make a pesto creamy and savoury without using dairy products? Try cashew nuts!

For one serving of this creamy, cheesy cashew pesto you need:

  • 110g soaked cashews (at least 2 hours, better over night)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 1/2 ts nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 ts mustard
  • 1/2 ts garlic powder
  • 1 small onion
  • salt and pepper


Drain the soaked cashews and blend everything in your blender. Taste with salt and pepper.

One serving of this pesto has the following nutritional values: 746kcal, 43g carbohydrates, 12g sugar, 57g fat, 25g protein, 4g fiber and 39% of the daily recommended dose of iron.
